What is
Prayer Canopy of Canada?
A prayer canopy is a prayer shield that is raised up by intercessors within the local community to saturate the area with prayer. One meaning of “Canopy” is a gold interwoven piece of silk, which can be used as a roof over a royal throne for the glory of the King. Indeed, this is the protective prayer covering we are extending over the land as we usher in the presence of our Lord Jesus through prayer, fasting, and worship.
Why do we need to pray for Canada?
“We prayed to our God and guarded the city day and night to protect ourselves.”
- Nehemiah 4:9

“Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” - Jeremiah 29:7
There is an urgent need to cover Canada in prayers. From the moral decline to the rising crime rate; from ungodly laws and policies to the upcoming federal election; from the worrisome economy to families divided; from the rise of social media mob to radical ideologies infiltrating our young generation.
We need to pray.
Yet at the same time, survey indicates that there is a rise in spiritual curiosity among lapsed or non-Christians over the past three years. Prayer Leaders are also sensing the coming of the Great Turnaround of Canada – God is moving amidst the darkness, and He is inviting us to partner with Him in prayers and in action!

As intercessors lock arms together contending for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done on the community as it is in heaven, we will together exalt Jesus as we build a prayer covering over our city and lift up the many needs/challenges our communities face.
Thus, we are asking brothers and sisters to form Knee Soldiers Team (3-4 people) to commit to praying for Canada/ your local community on a regular basis. These teams can be organized geographically and strategically. As a result, the collective prayers from the Knee Soldiers will form a prayer canopy over the City.
